CNC dressing

Hi! Finally good to have a forum dedicated to machinery and smooth functioning of the shopfloor!
I know there are quite a bit of CNC tools out there and there are a dozen ways for dressing each one of them. I have a few questions regarding this:
We have a Park Titan and run mostly ADI tools and Terminator tools for our eased edge.

1) Is there a best way to dress the tool
2) What is the recommended frequency for the dressing?
3) Is there something called too much dressing?

1) dont think there s one best way to do this. It depends on the type of tool that is used as each tooling manufacturer have their own guidelines and dressing sticks.
2) This again depends on your usage. Typical dressing frequency is every 500 lin ft. Our CNCs generates report to show how much lin. ft. we use. Our CNC operator keeps checking the quality of edges as it comes out of the CNC. The minute there is any notice of anomalies, the tool is dressed.
3) My opinion: yes. We have a zoller so we set and study the points to make sure all the positions are set right. Unfortunately, I am not quite sure how to do it to a science without a zeres or zoller.
