For the rubber, we replace some it as we go. If we see a slat that is especially worn, we will change it. However, we try to do a full replacement of all rubber about once every 3-4 weeks. It all depends on how many sqft you run, we run about 1500 sqft a day, with 2 machines.

What feed rates are you seeing with your tooling? Is anyone pushing above the 250 mark?

    Efficiency of 2 Bacas

We are running 2 dual table Baca saw jets with tilt tables. There seem to be a number of fabricators out there running 2 as well. Its interesting to benchmark and see whats possible with the 4 tables. Obviously there are a number of factors, like how much jet vs blade, type of material...

    Maintenance cost tracking

I love Steve Krar's perspective of Fail and Fix vs. Predict and Prevent. Too often in our stone industry, we all take a reactive vs. proactive approach to downtime and maintenance. The IMPORTANCE of MAINTENANCE (Changing from a FAIL and FIX Approach to a PREDICT and PREVENT Approach) Steve Krar...

    SQFT per hour

We are getting about 15 sqft finished per hour off of our titans. Is that what most people see? Mostly 3cm and we are using high speed tooling and a zoller. Sink cutouts done on the sawjet. Back grinding the seams.

    Introduction

There are so many events throughout the year, but its not possible for most fabricators to always travel. One major goal of this forum is to provide a place where people can come together, like an event, and share ideas in an organized and quantifiable way.

Does anyone else have tilt tables? How often do you change your rubber out? Are you having issues with slabs breaking or popping? We are trying a new solution for one of our tables with plastic.

    Zoller/Zares

Stoneman, If you are running 1000 sqft a day with one titan, then you must be doing alot either by hand or using an inline polisher. For 1 cnc, our manager Alex, would probably not buy an offline presetter, especially if you have an ITM on the Titan. The break even for the Zollar/Zares, in our...

    Cool French machine

In our shop we produce about 1350 sqft a day with 2 double table Bacas. 80 percent 3cm. The rest is 2cm and dekton. We cut for about 10 hours. Getting about 60 sqft an hour and we do our cutouts on the sawjet. I think 60 sqft an hour is a number I hear alot for sawjet cutting?? Having trouble...

    Cool French machine

I was talking with Josh the owner of San Luis Marble today. He is uses the new Tibaut cnc saw that has a finger bit, blade, core bit and jigsaw blade to replace the water jet. Seems to be an interesting solution. Anyone else using this machine?

    BACA SPEED!

We are getting about 65 sqft per hour of finished 3cm countertop. This based on the finished sqft of jobs we schedule in Moraware, not the Baca report. With two Baca's that about 1300 sqft in 10 hours. We have 4 guys loading slabs and off loading parts, getting them to the cnc for the machines...
